We needed the help of real fans to explain just how “out there” Preacher really is. We came up with the idea to lean into an already popular Reddit activity, and have Preacher fans give their best ELI5 (Explain Like Im 5) to the rest of the TV audience on Reddit as to what Preacher is all about. we were able to engage existing fans of the show to create a word-of-mouth style ad campaign by leaning into our best practices and Reddit’s unique layered targeting strategy.
