What is this “Secret Santa Gift Exchange” all about? you might ask. Well, I’ll let Reddit user u/Thanks_for_Breakfast explain: “Redditgifts is a group of total strangers from all over the world who have managed to form a community held together by one thing—being thoughtful and generous to one another. It's amazing that a group of people who have never met each other, and probably never will, can come together to form such a strong, connected community. Being a part of redditgifts is being a part of something huge and magical. If Santa were real, he'd be jealous.”
So how did Google get in on the action?
We co-created a custom a gift guide tailored to various Reddit audiences, from tech lovers to students.
And, of course, we surprised and delighted participants with Made By Google products.
This is my 1st year of doing secret Santa. I'm beyond blown away with my new laptop. We just got home from driving around looking at Christmas lights. My husband said there was a package on the front porch for me. I'm was in complete shock for how big the package was. My whole family gathered around the kitchen table. We took turns opening the box. When I saw the Google wrapping my jaw hit the floor. My husband said "it has to be a trick," to my surprise it was the real deal. I'm was jumping up and down. I have never been this lucky in my whole life. My autistic son said "I can play mindcraft again." My whole house has been sharing 1 laptop and now I have my own. Thank you to whoever's you are! I can't thank you enough for this hoilday surprise.

After sending off a gift and having my own receiver post their gift to the gallery I was already filled with excitement and cheer. Slightly anxious about whether my own Santa would send a gift... What could it be? Unfortunately the hustle and bustle of the season must have caught them by surprise and time slipped by. A very kind rematcher willingly snatched my name and pulled my info, then shipped the gift in quick order. What could it be?! My wife and I at last minute decided to drive a few hours away to visit some family for Christmas and drove over some rivers and through some woods. While we were there a notification arrived saying a packed had been delivered. The excitement grew as well as gratitude for this kind rematch santa. The 4 hours of driving through blowing snow on our way home helped distract me from what awaited at our door. A package, nice and small held the kindness of the season. I opened and peered into the box, past the bubble wrap with anxious curiosity, what could this Santa have sent? A package covered in Super G's gave me a smile as I don't know another person quite as fond of Google. Seeing that my profile said I was an Android fan and a few of my favorite subreddits are Google related it's an easy way to win a smile. As I flipped it over, a small message blew me away... "Happy Holidays from Google Store!” WHAT!?!? NO. YES. YOU'RE KIDDING!? I opened the wrapping to find a brand new Google Pixel 4XL. A photographer's dream, a helpful assistant, the beauty of the pure Android experience. This rematch santa delivered a gift beyond my wildest imagination, something too perfect to be real... One of the biggest Android fans, getting rematched by the makers of Android themselves... I still can't believe it. Thank you to the whole Made by Google team. What an incredible gift this holiday season. I can't wait to pay it forward and continue to spread cheer all the way through the new year. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I can't believe this. When I opened the box the Google wrapping paper got my heart racing. It was a Google stadia premier edition! This is amazing, I can't wait to try it out.
Thank you!

Somehow I got incredibly lucky, and u/madebygoogle was my rematch Santa… THE Google! I've been a Google Fi subscriber for about a year and have been very happy with the service, and they've given me a reason to stay with it with a brand spanking new Pixel 4. I'm speechless. THANK YOU!
